  9. Promotional Thread PTX is Patrick Chen (1976). Patrick discovered Psychedelic Trance music at the age 18 while serving the Israeli army. Though his musical direction and background at the time was more focused on Rock and Alternative music, ever since hearing these fresh and remarkable sounds his main ambition was to produce some of his own. At the age of 21 he set out on a trip to Asia, visited India and Thailand, places in which he begun to DJ for the first time. 1998-2001 Patrick lived in Japan working with Vision Quest later running the Vision Quest branch in Osaka. On his return to Israel he started his degree in Sound Engineering and moved to produce music under the name PTX. He continued to promote the scene and organizing local events together with the Bionics records crew. PTX music is mostly Full On trance, fully equipped for the dance floor, bearing a powerful rhythm sections and loaded with psychedelic leads and sounds. "Participate in the X-Periment" is his highly awaited debut album and contains mainly dance floor smashes. Tracklist 1. Participate In The X-Periment 2. Who The DJ Is? 3. Better-Fly 4. Toxic Part of Town 5. Face It 6. Politically Correct 7. Bluetooth Generation 8. Wonderland 9. Outro Electro Review After releasing tracks for some years, here is the debut album of PTX Participate in the Xperiment starts the album very well and aggressive, the track has nice melodies, a groovy bass full of effects, good construction in general. Who the Dj Is? – has a powerful kick, is a bit more psychedelic and aggressive than the first and has a sample doing remember a house track…the only bad thing here is that is a bit repetitive and boring. Better-Fly present us with nice melodies, good psychedelic sounds and a sample that make you think you are dreaming Track 4 – Toxic Part of Town – is my favourite here, it has a great progressive construction, very deep melodies, good rhythm all track long, all accomplished by a powerful kick. Face It comes more slowly and more progressive, it has a very hard and strong kick bassline but it lost points because from the middle to the end starts to be repetitive. Track 6 – Politically Correct – has a groovy and hard bass, nice and quiet melodies, some kind of digital hihats, ideal for morning time Bluetooth Generation is my second favourite, is melodic and morning oriented, has a groovy and progressive bassline, the only thing I don’t like here is the sample with a vocal that seems a scream. Wonderland restarts the psychedelic madness again (ihihih), has a nice and groovy bass full of good effects, nothing new… To finish the album, we have Outro Electro – after 8 tracks of psychedelic mind blowing music, here comes a downtempo track, to relax and to dream with the next Ptx album I’m very glad with this album because till now I never like very much any track from Ptx and now I can’t say it anymore…I expect to see in the near future Ptx doing a live at any party, it seems to be killer 7/10 Pedro Gaspar aka Juggler

  11. Promotional Thread Chemical drive Is Ronen Sahar (26) from Israel (Tel-Aviv). He has been writing & producing psy trance music since late 90s Ronen has already released few tracks at different labels like: Spliff Music, Transient, Spectrum, Utopia…He’s musical style is between morning progressive & psy full on. Chemical Drive productions have a unique fat quality by using most frequencies on the spectrum. Ronen has already played his music in: Mexico, Greece, Israel, Switzerland, and some more gigs will be very soon all across the globe. This powerful album contains 9 tracks, included 1 track with Tamir Ozana (Atomic Pulse), 1 track with Yinon oved (Popstream) and 1 with Ananda Shake. Tracklist 1. U-topia 2. G shock 3. Sonic Boom 4. System 1000 5. Orbital Frame 6. Space Fantazy 7. Atomic Drive 8. Brain Freeze 9. Total Acid Review Utopia Records brings us a pacific and morning album by Chemical Drive… Track 1 U-topia starts the album slowly (140bpm) but with a power bassline; it has some shinning melodies and we can listen to a great construction of the track – pacific and good start! This track was released in Pure Imagination 2 by Utopia…and I just can say the same... it has good psy tunes, all well constructed, great melodies and has a kind of groove all track long that makes you think if you listen it at a party you can’t stop dance! Sonic Boom done with Pop Stream is simply killer Great kick and bassline, great melodies and a marvellous woman voice sample doing remember the beautiful voice of Tribalistas singer Track 4 has a progressive start, some kind of a strange and groovy bass, some nice psy sounds but a bit repetitive, not my style. Track 5 – Orbital Frame – is another beautiful track for me…it has a great rhythm, beautiful melodies and an effect that I think I have listen before in “Pause” released by Chemical Drive in Timeless compilation. Space Fantazy slow bpms a bit (143) and gives us a more relaxed moment…some vocal samples mixed with some groovy bass and hihats and quiet melodies make this one. Atomic Drive is my favourite here…it’s done with Atomic Pulse and I think that they must try more collaborations because it’s simply killer…the melodies of Atomic mixed with the bassline and effects of Chemical is just perfect! Brain Freeze is another good one…I think there’s an error in the cover of the album or in my mixer because the bpms here is 147 instead of 145…there is some aggressive but rhythmic melodies and some vocals that remember me some Astrix tracks. To finish the album Chemical Drive choose Total Acid…here we have less bpms again (140), tranquil melodies, ideal to finish the album and too to finish a morning set For me this is one of the best releases by Utopia till now, an album where we can listen to great moments of morning fullon that can be listen at home or at a party…simply killer 8/10 Pedro Gaspar aka Juggler

  17. Vibe Tribe Interview 1 - Name/Age/Occupation? Stas (19) & Elmar (20) - currently working on music 2 - Where Are You From? Israel, the holy land 3 - How long are you in trance scene? Actually we are listening to trance since the age of 12 and in that time it was just listening but after about 2 years we met at school and we both was trying to make trance with software called Fastracker2. At the age of 16 we started to work with more Sirius programs we learned the Cubase and came up with the name "Vibe Tribe". After that we started to make music in a more professional way. In the age of 17 we started to play in small party’s... To make a long story short we are Djing for 4 years and making music about 6-7 years. 4 - What equipment do you use to produce your music? Hardware: nord lead 2, creamware luna 2 sound card, mackie hr824 monitors, beringher mixer, samson mic, monster pc, Software: Cubase Sx all possible vsti & vst wavelab 5 sound forge 7 5 - Free text about your project… We are making melodic music, inspired by the old school goa stuff, and we love morning sunrise 6 - What do you prefer, playing live or dj set? We think its fun both ways live or Dj set when u play live it has it own goods and bads as well as dj set so we’ll prefer Live and Dj set ! 7 - How do you see the trance parties in Israel and in the rest of the world? Well in Israel the situation is a bit different from rest of the world we guess... 1. cuz of the many artist that are from Israel, and you know Israel is pretty small. 2 cuz trance scene isn’t new to Israel, so its pretty much main stream, so the party’s is split to two groups, the big commercial party’s, and the small underground party’s in the desert etc.. 8 - Utopia Records is in my opinion one of the greatest trance labels of the moment, do you think that your album “Melodrama” has something to do with that? Well first off all thanks for the good words for our home label, second its kind of a question that we cant answer on ,but to be honest we hope that our album some how influenced on it in a good way . 9 - What do you think about the mp3 trade by internet? We think is killer! Now seriously, we hate it, but its nothing you can do against it , we guess the people who want original cd quality is still going to buy cds, the same as people going to movies for example. 10 - Your sense of life?
