Gosto muito da simplicidade como ela (a Meg White) aborda a bateria. Com pouca coisa e de forma simples consegue criar uma base do crlh para o Jack desbundar! Não se trata da técnica, trata-se de recursos e da forma como são utilizados... e da forma como eles comunicam musicalmente. Se repararem, os grandes bateristas de jazz (como o Gene Krupa ou Max Rouach, por exemplo) utilizam apenas um bombo, uma tarola, um timbalão, um tambor, um prato de choque, um rider e um splash. ...só para curtir o genial Gene Krupa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8gvJnhTY2s&feature=related ...ou o Stevie Wonder num brilhante solo, com um d'n'b ali à mistura (acho que já tinha colocado aí algures este vídeo): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnYHnxeGHHk&feature=related FDX! O baterista da banda (sempre em background) deve ter ficado a fazer contas à vida depois disto. "O que é que eu ando aqui a fazer?" Se formos olhar para o kit do Beauford... fdx! Eu acho piada à Meg White pela simplicidade e garra que emprega na "cena". E é uma mulher na bateria, o que é raro e saúda-se! Assim como existem poucas mulheres no baixo, mas quando elas lhe dão... é outro tratamento... Kim Deal (Pixies), Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth), Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads), Rita Simon (X-Mal Deutschland)... só para lembrar alguns nomes.
