Hedflux - Diversion

Percussive noises like shaking neurons and a full, rolling bassline create a spacious soundscape for the mental sparks that fly from Hedflux’s sonic workshop in Diversion. The firework grate of an aural angle-grinder is set off by ripples of a soft melody dipping its toes in the pool of your mind, while gentle sirens signal that all is not well. It’s like being so loaded on valium that you’re blissfully unconcerned about the rest of the spaceship on red alert.

This partnership, between the mighty Hedflux and Bad Tango, Broken Robot’s latest signing, has been a long time coming. Eschewing the usual 4/4 beat for triplet time, and with all the exquisite production that you might expect, Slippery Triplet prowls through the undergrowth of your conscious, chasing after psychedelic squiggles that slip and slide around a shifting bass triplet, towards a climax that's always just out of reach.
