Finally Alternative Control is back with a new full album. Goran and Rastko, the duo behind the project don’t have to convince anyone anymore of their talent. After a successful first album, many compilations releases and co-operations with plenty of well known producers, the Serbians decided to steer their sound in a new direction.

 

On their long awaited second full album 'Alternating Current' they reinvented the Alternative Control sound, keeping their identity, but exploring new and exciting digital boundaries. With a broad range of bpm’s, their aim is to please the general electronic music lover, and stimulate his senses in ways previously unthinkable. Top notch production is a given.

 

The album is dedicated to Serbian genius Nikola Tesla, one of the most exceptional minds ever to walk this planet! It will be released by Belgian label Dacru Records. Tasty stuff to please your ears…

agora sobre o album posso dizer que é algo de novo na cena trance, acompanhando a evoluçao que se tem feito sentir, isto sendo do agrado de uns e claro do desagrado de outros ainda assim gostos nao se discutem e quem gosta da evoluçao da cena electronica hj em dia vai gostar deste album... penso que os AC inovaram no estilo deste album nao podendo dizer que o album é representativo de um estilo, mas sim de varios e penso que esse é o caminho a junçao de varios estilos resulta numa coisa nova e este album é o resultado disso!

We tried to refresh our path , our way , what we were doing before , not to change the scene or say this is good or better , simply we wanted to go our way , as you all said , who likes he likes who not , not simple . So please no bad energy and negative vibrations , was it chillum in the hand or glow stick its all the same in the end , mutual respect is what this scene needs. E eu perguntei onde estava a musica por acaso? Onde é que está ali demonstrado superioridade??? Se não gosto dou a minha opinião, ou preferes que dê palmadinhas nas costas feito otário e vá falar mal por trás? Para MIM não é o meu estilo de som preferido, não curto muito essa onda, percebes ou queres um desenho?

E olha, já ouvi uma vez mais e continua a achar o mesmo, na MINHA opinião eu não chamo psy a este tipo de musica e a minha opinião vale o que vale ok?

You do what you like and that´s more important that a simple opinion, in this case my opinion, i prefer the old tunes you had before and i doesn´t like so much this news songs, is simple was that. I understand that you feel to change, you are not the first and not the last ones, i can give you lots and lots of examples of projects that i liked before and nowadays i simply dont like but i only give you one, GMS, they were one of my favourits and now the new songs i simply doesnt like, i think that this kind of songs are more focus on disco clubs and i prefer outdoor partys, campfield he he he

I also dont like what many ppl makes now , especially those you say used to be very good , but i guess we all had to change something , the reaching boiling point ( the peak ) of this scene was reached back in 2003,2004...thats it, since then everything goes down , i am not aiming clubs with this music , still going for the open air and festival , but i understand that for someone this is totally non psy , clubby music , its normal , its taste

 

When the scene was alive , when ppl knew who is the top5 , when all thos beautifull labels existed , when all those hits were made , i was in the first raw ,to dance and to support . These are the worst days for psychedelic trance ever in its history , especially considering music , i think you have there a recent good example of that.

 

I am not gonna move AC to something else , it always was psytrance for us and it always will be , just its our way of how we see this album , and its just an album , 9 tracks , 1 cd ...who knows what the future brings

 

Why i am posting and answering , cause i think we lost this connection btw artist and public , i like to talk to the ppl , not defending my music or try to spam the thread , just its goood to be in contact with ppl that listens or listened to your music ....and its just 1 topic...who wants he can enter the thread who doesnt he can just chill it

 

p.s. this was an album after 5 years since the last one , almost 6 ( cause we made the alt+ctrl much before the release date ) , we will keep up making music ..now with less interval between releases so just stay tuned and be there for the next EP or CD to hear , support and criticise

Hey guys, nice to see interacting with the people here at Elastik. First of all, congratulations on your new record. Aside the music, there's many hours of work invested into it and people who can create music deserve my respect. Also you had creative freedom and many artists can't say the same and are only products of a label's work and investment. I wonder if Dacru told you - "only psytrance, 145 bpm tracks!".

 

Nevertheless, for me this isn't the AC sound that I truly enjoy and put it up there in my preferences. Ok, so you're tired of psytrance in it's original format or formula, so to say (me too, btw). I understand that, it happens in a lot of other genres, why couldn't happen here too?

 

Still, you made such perfect psytrance tracks, that I was hoping you could bring some of that feeling back with the new record, because u know how to do some of the best psytrance ever! Hell, I even made a dj set once only with AC tracks.

 

You decided for a change, sorry but i'm not so supportive on the result of that change. Even so, if you wanna follow that path, I know you can do much better, so I'll keep my ears up for AC!
