Below are some tips to help make your stay at Boom land more fun! Please keep this card and refer back to it when necessary! ENJOY! 1. ENVIRONMENT For optimal viewing and to reduce lag for Boom land and the aquarium, please set to "Midnight." - Go to World -> Environment Settings -> Midnight. Want to see an awesome view of the sunset? Face West. - World -> Environment Settings -> Sunset ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. LANDING POINT FLOOR ACTIVITIES Gallery - In the Gallery are photos from Boom 2008. Dance Floor - Left click the dance floor and select a dance, say yes to animate your avatar and when you want to stop dance click the dance floor again, select stop from the menu and say yes again to animate your avatar. - DJ Booth: sit on the tracks ball and be our local guest DJ. You can mix up your own real live tunes with the DJ Sampler. - To use DJ Sampler, you should be in "Mouselook." Click on the buttons of the sounds you want to mix. To turn off, click on the button again. Just want to Relax? - Choose any of the lounge chairs to chill out, or take a seat by the campfire on the Lake. Water Vehicles - To ride the Hovercraft or Jetski, right click and choose either "sit" or "ride." Click on the vehicle again for the blue pop-up menu. "Push the Avatar" Game - Touch the pink and green sign - Touch the black floor pad. - A blue pop-up menu will appear - Choose MANUAL for instructions. - Touch the floor again to begin a new game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. MEDIA AND GAMES LEVEL TV - You must have Quick Time. - CTRL-P (Preferences) -> Audio and Video -> Located in "Streaming Preferences" enable "Play Streaming Media" then save changes. - In the lower right-hand corner of your SL main screen, there is a small icon of a video camera (above the "Mini Map tab)-> Press Play. Hookah - Have a seat on the pillow. Enjoy! Games: "Truth" (Left of the TV) - Take a seat on the pillows and right click the table. - The first time you play the game, you will be given a glass of whiskey. Accept the Glass of Whiskey and wear it. (This can be found under your Objects Folder in your Inventory). - You will also receive a Notecard with directions on how to play. "Don't Worry" (Right of TV) - Right click the game and a Blue menu will pop up. - Select "Manual" for game instructions. - Right click game again and this time select "Join Game" to play. - No one to play with? Right click again and choose "computer" as your opponent. - Need to reset the game? Right click board and choose "reset" "Twister" (Right of TV) - Right click the game. - A blue pop-up menu will appear: Choose the number of players (3 max). ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. MUSIC LEVEL Small Drums - Sit on the box located in front of the drums. - A blue pop-up menu will appear. - Choose your animation and sound preference. Snake Charmer - Right click the seat in front of basket. Choose PLAY. - You will receive two different flutes. Accept. - Go to Objects folder in your Inventory and choose one flute to wear. - Once you are settled, choose the "play" option in the blue pop-up menu and begin to charm the snake out of his slumber! Large Drum - Right Click and choose PLAY option. - You will receive the RIGHT and LEFT drum sticks. Accept. - Go to your Objects folder in Inventory and wear both of these drum sticks. - Return again to the blue pop-up menu and choose Play. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. OVERLOOK - Overlook is located above Boom land. (The roof of the white stone building). - To get here - fly up! Either "page up" or use the "Fly" tab located at the bottom of your screen. - Best setting: World -> Environment Settings -> Sunset and face West. "Airplane" - Right click and choose "FLY" - It can also accommodate a passenger. - Touch the plane for the menu. - Fly over to Linden Village, Linden Lake, Waterhead, Brampton, and the Second Life Wall of History. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. AQUARIUM and WATER ACTIVITIES - Use Midnight Setting. - Water Setting: World -> Environment Settings -> Environment Editor -> Advanced Water -> Water Presets: change "default" to "GLASSY" - Right click on the sharks and choose "Sit Here" to go for a watery tour around the aquarium. - The Dolphin above land is also rideable. - The Lake's surface has 2 water vehicles - the Hovercraft and Jetski. To ride either, right click and choose "sit" or "ride".
